Couples Therapy
Relationships can be the catalyst for healing past hurts. Many early wounds play out within our adult attachment relationships and can either be self-replicating hurts or transformed into reparative experiences.
We believe in the power of connection, particularly that of romantic partners. Our partner becomes our attachment figure. We turn to them in good times and bad. With that said, there is considerable vulnerability in depending on another. Over time, we naturally experience pain, stress, trauma, or adversity. These stressors can drive a wedge between us, but also can provide a chance for deeper intimacy and understanding. Our role is to help you transform the stress into an opportunity to grow as a couple; to get closer, more compassionate, and stronger as a team.
Healing from hurtful experiences or developing strategies to move forward as a couple can be complicated and difficult to realize on your own. Relational support, particularly from a partner is often central to the constructive process of change. We can help you build, or rebuild, the foundation of your relationship, allowing you to individually and relationally grow and heal.
We utilize Emotionally Focused Therapy(EFT and trauma-focused EFT), Transgenerational, Interpersonal Neurobiological, Narrative, and Attachment-based approaches when working with couples. All of our therapeutic interventions are trauma-informed, as one of our primary specializations is trauma and post-traumatic stress and how these impact intimate relationships. We provide help with the following issues that couples sometimes face:

Betrayal
Domestic Violence/Interpersonal Violence
